Information Security Awareness Training
Information Security Awareness Training at UVA
If you are a UVA non-student user [1] (e.g., faculty, staff, contractors) or student employee, then you should complete information security awareness training annually in the University's Workday Learning [2] system. You can take the Information Security Awareness Training (ISAT) in Workday [3] at any time. Every year we send out a reminder to all non-student user [1] who have NOT completed the ISAT in this calendar year, reminding them to complete the Information Security Awareness Training (ISAT) in Workday [3]
All UVA student users (e.g., are not employed by or work for UVa) must complete information security awareness training as part of their matriculation to UVA. This information security awareness training is known as the Student CyberSecurity Awareness Training (SCSAT). It used to be known as the Responsible Computing Quiz. If your only role at UVa is as a student, then you should complete the Student CyberSecurity Awareness Training (SCSAT) by clicking here to go to the SCSAT [4] on the InfoSec Litmos learning management system [5] (LMS).
All persons who have or want to have High Security Virtual Private Network [6] (HSVPN [6]) access must complete High Security Awareness Training (HSAT) [7] each calendar year (annually) or access to the HSVPN [6] will be revoked or denied. The requirement is part of UVA's IRM-002 – Acceptable Use of the University’s Information Technology Resources [8] policy. The HSAT [7] course is on the InfoSec Litmos learning management system [5] (LMS) not the University's Workday. Additional information is available on our High Security Awareness Training (HSAT) webpage [9].
We thank you for your patience and vigilance in improving security awareness in the University community.
