We hope you’re staying safe and healthy.

To fulfill the health insurance requirement at UVA for the upcoming school year, you must be enrolled in or waive the Student Health Insurance Plan. All full time, domestic and international students will be automatically enrolled in the UVA Student Health Insurance Plan unless a waiver showing acceptable and comparable health insurance is provided. Students that do not waive or proactively enroll prior to August 30st, 2024 will be automatically enrolled onto the health plan.

If you are planning to waive, please have a copy of your insurance card(s) in front of you and be sure it is truly active at the time of submission, as all waivers will be verified.
