High Security Awareness Training (HSAT)

BACKGROUND

As part of the IRM-002 – Acceptable Use of the University’s Information Technology Resources policy, all persons with High Security Virtual Private Network (HSVPN) access must complete High Security Awareness Training (HSAT) each calendar year (annually) or access to the HSVPN will be revoked.  If you fail to complete your annual training and your HSVPN access is disabled, then you must contact Access Management to have this access restored.   Each year we email all HSVPN users who have not completed the HSAT in that calendar year reminding them to complete the High Security Awareness Training (HSAT) or have their HSVPN disabled until they do. The HSAT is on the InfoSec Litmos learning management system (LMS), not in UVA's Workday.

If you cannot log into the HSAT, then please email us at [email protected].

In addition, all other users should complete information security awareness training each calendar year (annually). If you are an employee of UVA (e.g., faculty, staff, contractors, and student employees), you can take the Information Security Awareness Training (ISAT) at any time.  In addition, those who have not completed the ISAT in that calendar year will receive an annual reminder via email as well.

ARE YOU AN LSP OR TECHNICAL SUPPORT STAFF?

Please email [email protected] if you have any questions or concerns regarding the training and any impacts experienced by the users you support.
